Excellent read.
After reading Metrophage, I wanted to find more by Kadrey. I read the few short short stories on this site, and found this book. The world he creates is stunning, terrifying and oddly reminiscent of Hieronymous Bosche paintings.
I highly recommend this if you are a fan of the genre. Kept me hooked till the end!

I could hardly believe on of my favorite CyberPunk writers wrote this when I eventually realized. It's dark, funny, adventurous, cynical and sums up most of my personal ideas about religion. Everyone should have this in their collection alongside his first book Metrophage and his newest incarnation Sandman slim...can't wait till that shows up at my door.
If sandman slim or butcher bird were turned into a movie i'd take over the likes of constantine anyday.
