The book describes the author's experience of an year working at the bakery section of Safeway. It is a first-person account the dynamics in retail stores and some of the challenges faced. The author brings out areas where customer service becomes a dilemma.

Recommend the book to understand some of the areas that come up as corporate contradictions between pricing, efficiency and what is good for the customer. It also serves as a checkpoint - the world is becoming so mechanized that the personal… (più)
